After the Rain

Well I went to the store this afternoon and on my way home the clouds cleared up and I saw this most beautiful sunset.  I love the sky in fall, it is so blue and the rain left everything so clean.  Sorry it's a little blurry, I was driving.

I Love Rain

It's a rainy day in Southwest Missouri.  Some people in our area don't like rain and thunder at all considering the tornado that nearly wiped us out but I love it still.  I don't like it when the weather gets too stormy, I'm sure no one here really does but I love the sound of slow rumbly thunder and rain on the roof.

I woke up this morning planning to go to the Y for a swimming exercise class but heard thunder and thought, they won't have class today so I went back to sleep.  It is so easy to sleep in when it's raining.  The house is all dark and cool and the sound is a lullaby.

Now I am awake and playing on the computer.  I need to get things done but that is also difficult on a rainy day.  It is still dark in the house and thunder is rumbling quietly outside.  I have needed to water my still living flowers outside but kept waiting for the rain to do it for me.  I have a sweet potato vine in front that has been getting droopy and this morning I looked out and it is all bright and cheerful.  I also have roses that have been threatening to bloom all over again and they are also bright and happy today.  It's funny how sometimes we feel sad and blue in the rain but the plants seem very happy and cheerful.  That's the way I am!
